Blend about 150-200g mashed sweet potato, 200g chickpeas, 1 clove garlic, handful each of fresh parsley, basil and mint leaves. Shape into patties. Chill. Heat oil in pan and cook till browned on both sides.

A miracle: I woke up in the best mood. I had a wicked dream which I promptly forgot and then made this wicked wrap with a green-chickpea-kinda-hummusy-spread.

Blend 200g chickpeas, 1 clove garlic, juice 1/2 lime, 2 tsp sesame oil, handful each of fresh parsley and mint. Season.

New discovery: freekeh. Love it and love saying it. Please excuse my lack of knife skills. Speaking of, I am obsessed with Top Chef: Las Vegas. As we're about six episodes behind here, I've cheated and looked on Wikipedia, TWoP and Bravo and found out the Final 4. I don't like surprises, you see. I'd like to see Bryan win but I reckon Kevin will (judging from Tom Colicchio's blog).

I know these chickpea/beetroot/carrot patties look awful but they didn't taste awful and that's what matters, right?

Blend/puree 200g chickpeas and 1/2-1 clove garlic till smooth. Stir in 1 small beetroot grated and 1 small carrot grated. Shape into two patties. Chill. Heat oil in pan and cook till browned and golden on both sides.
